Local "Emerald Coast" Seva Challenge 2010
Join Tammy on an inner and outer journey. Take on the local fundraising challenge and join me on a journey of transformation and deep service. Be a part of the emerging movement of sacred activism, touch a soul and change a life… perhaps your own.
Be a part of an amazing journey of Seva (selfless service) by joining the Emerald Coast Seva Challenge set by Tammy for 20 individuals to raise $1,000 as a personal goal through fundraisers created by Tammy by the end of 2010. The top 20 people who raise the most money will then attend a wonderful yoga retreat with me in Destin Florida.
When you reach your $1,000 goal or (try really hard to reach it) by 12/1/10, you will get an all expense paid relaxing yoga weekend on retreat at a beautiful, luxurious, 6 bedroom beach house at Crystal Beach. We will practice yoga twice daily, meditate, eat healthy food, go to the beach, bike, kayak or simply just relax. This will be a time to reconnect to source and recharge.
I will be setting up multiple fundraising events in 2010 for you to easily raise the money. These events will be fun and a quick way to raise your $1,000 during the year.
If you are interested in taking the local challenge set up by me, please email me your pledge. tammyandtommy@cox.net
I will contact you about fundraisers and upcoming events. We will also have support meetings as needed throughout the year. Fundraiser dates are on the website as well.
Yoga Retreat is ALL EXPENSE PAID!!! All you have to do is meet your $1,000 goal or be one of the top 20 producers!

Seva Challenge 2010 FAQ's
IMPORTANT: All checks, money orders and cashier's checks should be made payable to THE ENGAGE NETWORK. Off the Mat, Into the World® is a project of The Engage Network, a 501(c)(3).
Checks should be given to Tammy Binkley for collection and counting and she will send them to the Engage Network.
What do I need to raise?
You need to raise or donate $1,000. You have until December 1, 2010 to do this. We will have several fundraisers organized for 2010 to support you in the fundraising goal.
Ideas for you to think about:
•create an event with live music, dancing and other arts
•create a product / sell Seva T-Shirts I have available - $20 per shirt you sell will go towards your goal
•host a dinner party
•collect pledges for the yogathon
•ask your employer to donate on your behalf
Can I contribute toward my own fundraising goal?
Yes. Any Seva Challenge participant may contribute toward their $1,000 target.
What if I raise less than $1,000?
Even if you do not reach your $1,000 goal the top 20 individuals who help me will get to enjoy the retreat for FREE.
Will donors receive tax receipts from the The Engage Network for their contributions?
Yes. All US based donors will receive an acknowledgment letter for taxes that they give. The letter will be from the "Engage Network," as Off the Mat is a project of a larger effort to Engage people. Our 501(c)(3) is the Engage Network. Please note that the acknowledgment letter will list any return benefits provided to the donor, including, for travelers on the Bare Witness Journey, the fair market value of travel, lodging and other expenses, and that any charitable deduction must be reduced by the value of these return benefits. Each donor, including a Seva Challenge participant who makes a contribution, should consult his or her tax advisor to determine the extent to which their contribution may be deductible as a charitable donation or business expense. At this time, we will not be issuing any tax receipts to international donors. We will also send you an email every other week updating you on who has donated and how much you have raised in total. This update will include all checks and online donations sent to date.
What do I do with the money when I collect it?
Keep a record of what you have raised and sumit funds to Tammy Binkley for counting and as they are received.
I welcome your questions and thoughts!
